I had this dream back on 6-30-97. The demonic religious spirit was and is on the rise and has overtaken many of the churches today. This dream was a warning back then and even more so right now.
1 Corinthians 2:12-14 – “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.”

DREAM:
I was on the floor, on my stomach. There were two other people sitting with me. I believe a third person was nearby, sitting on a chair, looking at us. I had a purple balloon and kept blowing it up, then letting the air out of it; I was playing with it.
The two other people and I were talking about heaven. I said something like, “I don’t think we are just going to be standing around looking at each other.” Somebody else said, “we’re going to be busy.” I said, “yes, we’re going to be busy.”
Just then, the purple balloon “escaped” from my hands and shot up in the air. I started laughing and laughing. When I looked up behind me, there was a man dressed in ornate and layered robes walking into the room. The robes were what priests would wear in the Catholic church, with the hat they would wear. He also had a chain, which may have been a rosary. He had a stern look on his face when he saw me.
He started shaking his head side to side, in a disapproving manner. I then started to stand up to talk to him, while still laughing, and tried to tell him how the balloon escaped.
When I was completely standing, I suddenly couldn’t breathe. I was gasping for breath, then turned around to grab some asthma medicine from the couch**. I could barely get a breath in to use the medicine. I had a hard time exhaling. I had to take my right hand and use it to pry open my lips before I could let out a breath. I woke up gasping for breath.
As I was waking up, I asked the LORD, “what was that?” I was given a picture of the priest and the word that came to me was “religious spirit”.
**Note: I actually don’t have asthma, never did either.
INTERPRETATION:
We will NOT be able to reason with a person or group who has a religious spirit; they are under the influence of this demonic entity. What we must do is pray for the person or group to be set free, in the name of Jesus and for the TRUTH of the Holy Spirit to shine light down upon the lies of this evil, deceiving demonic spirit, that permeates ALL branches of “The Christian Church”, as well as the Catholic Church. This is why we see such depravity in the world today, for the majority of professing Christians are NOT true believers and followers of Jesus. The doctrines of demons have taken over and the masses of people are flocking to these ear-tickling buildings on Sunday to receive a happy, feel-good word.
The day is coming and is even upon us now, when those who are under the influence of the religious spirit, WILL come against those who are truly filled with and led by the Holy Spirit. May the Heavenly Father protect His children in the increasing darkness arising on this globe.
WOE, WOE, WOE to those who speak against the Holy Spirit and what HE does through the true believers and followers of Jesus: “And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him.” ~ Luke 12:10

For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it.”
Matthew 10:21-22 – “Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. You will be hated by all because of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved.”
Luke 12:11-12 – “When they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not worry about how or what you are to speak in your defense, or what you are to say; for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.”

Unless the religious spirit is associated with the authority of the church; in that case, they have “rights” to be there. I have seen this happen as well. In that case, prayer for those in authority, that the LORD will help them see the truth, that the truth will set them free. Sadly, I see too many enjoy the control, the man-made doctrines, the man-made rituals and do not want to give up control to the Holy Spirit.
“Churchianity” is alive and thriving in the Western World today. It looks good. It sounds good. BUT it’s just going through motions that don’t produce fruit for the Kingdom of Heaven. People go in to those Churchianity gatherings and leave the same way they came in; no transformation. May the LORD have mercy in the midst of the judgement, for it is coming upon the “professing” church first.

Hello Victora, thank you for stopping by and sharing. I truly understand the difficulty being in a “traditional” church. I think it takes supernatural grace from the LORD to remain in one (in case there is something we must do in them for a season). I also believe the time is coming, when TRUE believers and followers of Jesus will have to meet “underground”, much like our brothers and sisters have to do in China and other oppressive nations.
That religious demonic spirit is VILE and is what I call a “shape-shifter” . . it takes on a form of “godliness” and blends in with whatever flavor of churchianity that meets on Sunday. Even those who claim to be “Pentecostal” can have this VILE spirit. ANY of us can be subject to this, especially if we cling to “church doctrine” rather than clinging to Jesus and the TRUTH of His Word, while being led by the Holy Spirit.
The day is coming, when the GLOBAL massive delusion will come upon those who do not love the truth (but may love their churchianity doctrines) . . and they will fall for the delusion. At that time, ANY who cling to the truth of the FULL Gospel of Jesus Christ, while listening to and obeying the Holy Spirit, will be hated, despised and eventually hunted down (just like we see in Syria by ISIS). . . ONLY in JESUS will there be peace.
Yes, there will be supernatural protection, provision and peace, but some of us WILL be martyred. Some of us WILL be captured. Some of us WILL be tortured . . . all of this, just like our brothers and sisters have been through in all of the generations since Jesus walked this earth. I continue to pray for MERCY in the times of Judgement and may each who call on the name of the LORD, truly, truly be following Jesus and listen to/obey the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Hello Linda, I just recently saw your writings on z3news and wanted to connect. Our family has been out of the institutional church for a couple years now upon Gods leading to the revelation of His universal Body and not about going to the building on Sundays. I just experienced the religious demonic spirit last week when my friend told me I am in sin for not sitting under the preaching of the word and witnessed how we cannot reason with that spirit but pray for them. Jesus had protected me for months for this subject not to come up with my friends of us not being in the Sunday morning building church and I opened my mouth one evening thinking what harm can be done to share with my friend well since then I have been cut off harassed and diassociated with. It’s sad that we cannot all serve King Jesus together but I am following Him and although the “persecution” is hard we enjoy immensely the new found freedom by His Spirit in growth, ministering to the needy, more fruit reaching the lost and powerful times with my immediate family in home worship. He has provided a handful of believers for fellowship for us and look forward to more.
