8-17-15 – The Parable of the Chocolate

John 14:16-17 – “I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.”

“THIS CHOCOLATE TASTES SO GOOD”, the little girl said, as she took another bite of the rich, creamy candy that her Father gave her. . . . “YUMMY”!!!

The little boy just wrinkled his nose and said, “I DON’T BELIEVE YOU.”

“HAVE YOU TRIED THIS BEFORE?” the little girl asked.

“DON’T YOU WANT TO TRY SOME?”, the little girl asked.

“NO”, the little boy said, “I JUST DON’T THINK IT’S FOR ME”.

The little girl sadly walked away, because she wanted to share what she knew was good and tasty. She also knew her Father would give her more, because  . . . . he owned the only chocolate factory in the city.

So it is with the Holy Spirit, who is given to ALL who will, by the Heavenly Father.
HE provides us with gifts that He freely chooses to give. . .
but sadly . . .
MOST say “I don’t believe the gifts are for today”
“I just don’t think it’s for me” or
“I would have been given that gift by now, if I was supposed to get it.”

. . . . and the Holy Spirit is grieved!!!! He sadly moves on, knowing ALL need Him in these final days, but most don’t believe He still blesses people with His presence, His gifts, His fruit, His leading and His POWER . . if they only seek Him and ask Him. . .He GRIEVES yet again, at the lack of faith.

Be clean in your walk with Jesus.

Is He both your Savior -AND- the LORD of your life, meaning HIS will is what you desire, choose and follow?

Seek the LORD and ask Him to search your heart and to show you any area that is unpleasing to Him, then REPENT (meaning turn away from what you were doing), receive forgiveness and obey the will of the LORD for your life.

FORGIVE ALL who have sinned against you.

SEEK the fullness of the Holy Spirit in your life and ask Him to help you have the character of Christ, exhibited by the Fruit of the Holy Spirit.

ASK the Holy Spirit for ALL gifts that He chooses to give you; these are needed in these final days, for both survival and to serve the Body of Christ.

PRAY like never before, pressing in towards the things of God that are waiting for you.

WORSHIP the LORD in Spirit and in Truth.

PRAISE THE LORD, for He is worthy to be praised.

SERVE one another, with brotherly love.

Ephesians 4:30 – “Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.”

Ephesians 5:17-19 – “So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, BUT BE FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord;”

1 Corinthians 12:1-11 – Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware.
You know that when you were pagans, you were led astray to the mute idols, however you were led. Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is accursed”; and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit. Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing o spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills.

Galatians 5:22-23 – “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”

WORSHIP:  “Come Holy Spirit Fall On Me Now” –
