Part 5 ~ THE MEMOIRS OF A BRIDE: A Prophetic Picture of The Bride of Christ Getting Ready

PART 5 – July and August of 2013- Retired from Teaching and Searching for God’s Will
“And He (Jesus Christ) said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” ~ (Luke 9:23)

PEGGY CONTINUES HER TESTIMONY:

I continued to find that Faye Aldridge was correct about the “favor” of God on one’s life that came as a result from obedience to washing in the water of the Word consistently, and becoming saturated in it!

At this time, I participated in just about every Christian activity that was presented to me. I took my electric keyboard to a campground to play at a weekly Service started by friends of mine to minister to some poor people there and played the organ at an Assisted Living Facility to help minister the old hymns to the residents.

I attended a monthly Christian Women’s Luncheon and formed a School Retirees group to meet monthly over a meal for 10 months each year. In addition, there was a monthly card-making class, where I delighted in sending uplifting cards that were custom made to those in my life that were in need of a Christian “lift.” I aspired to share Jesus Christ and the Gospel message in each of these activities as much as possible as led by the Holy Spirit.

In my free time, I searched the internet for end-times web-sites and alternative news.   I really did see where many of the news headlines matched Bible Prophecy. I also tried to be attentive to the “hands-on” needs of anyone in my immediate circle. This found me taking folks to Doctor appointments and hospitals, for example. I spent as much extra time with them as the Holy Spirit seemed to allow, seeking to encourage them.

I also felt led to send out 50 copies of Faye Aldridge’s book with a letter enclosed about the end times that we are in and that the Word of God is the answer to everything.

I secured the names and addresses of Senators and those in the House of Representatives that I felt by reading their biographies would be most receptive to this message. I received only two responses of the 50, but at least they were positive responses!

I decide to take a more active role in witnessing to those in my immediate circle through sending e-mails warning of the times that I knew we were in. I knew that the time of remaining silent, at least for me, as was the case prior to my immersion in The Word, had to STOP! As for the e-mails sent by me, some people responded in gratitude, but they were few and far between.

Most remained silent, and some sent mocking and scoffing e-mails back.

That was okay. My final authority in this life is the Word of God, and the Word had something very encouraging to say about the mocking and scoffing. I continued to stand on promises such as these from the Word!

“Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.
(Matthew 5:11)
