2-7-16 – There are NO “Cliques” in the Kingdom of Heaven

James 2:1-9 –

“My brethren, do not hold your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ
WITH AN ATTITUDE OF PERSONAL FAVORITISM.

For if a man comes into your assembly with a gold ring
and dressed in fine clothes,
and there also comes in a poor man in dirty clothes,
and you pay special attention
to the one who is wearing the fine clothes, and say,
“You sit here in a good place,”
and you say to the poor man,
“You stand over there, or sit down by my footstool,”
have you not made distinctions among yourselves,
and become judges with evil motives?

Listen, my beloved brethren:
did not God choose the poor of this world to be rich in faith
and heirs of the kingdom
which He promised to those who love Him?

But you have dishonored the poor man.
Is it not the rich who oppress you
and personally drag you into court?

Do they not blaspheme the fair name by which you have been called?

If, however, you are fulfilling the royal law according to the Scripture,
“You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well.

BUT IF YOU SHOW PARTIALITY, YOU ARE COMMITTING SIN
AND ARE CONVICTED BY THE LAW AS TRANSGRESSORS.”

I remember growing up in St. Louis as a fat, frizzy-haired, freckled, blue cat-eye glasses wearing, nerdy-looking OUTCAST . . . One who was either last or close to last to be selected for any team sports. 

 (and no, this is not my photo, but might as well have been).

I saw the “popular people” get into their “cliques” at school and felt really bad about that, but knew it was so far from my reality, I had to just accept my “role”.

THEN . . . Let’s make it even more nerdy . . I played the clarinet in the High School marching band . . .and didn’t even “fit in” there either. . Not really.

SO I REALLY UNDERSTAND BEING AN OUTSIDER OF “CLIQUES”. . . It feels really, really BAD and it is very UNGLODLY as well, according to James 2:1-9.

  6. My friend in TN told me about a week ago that she keeps getting the word “suddenly.” (confirmation!)
    The Bible itself is so full of “SUDDENLY.”
    Wow, as much as we think we’re prepared, I believe it could still be perceived as shocking.
    Please help us, HOLY SPIRIT. Fill us to OVER-FLOWING every day.

  12. Snark is just slang for those that want to leave an inappropriate comment. Those can be in the form of debates, arguments, or anything that is sarcastic. Someone may try to push man’s doctrine claiming it as the Gospel. This has happened to myself many times. I shut down my facebook page because of it and it still continued on my blog.

  19. Linda, JC got your chocolate orders 🙂 JC thanks for setting up that post – Peggy, never a surprise how you always have these answers – thank you for that calendar post 🙂

    And may the prayer request posted above be held in the mercy of our Lord. That both of them are mirrors to each others faith and love of Christ.

    That Gils perseverance in suffering is both honoring and will be honored by the Lord for showing His power and love in a suffering human condition. Yet Gil all that remains for others to see is the Lord through you. How awesome – may your love and repentance take away your pain as you remain undefeated in a fallen world. You are mighty in HIm.

    And may you sister, as you faithfully walk your own narrow path by taking in that child be so honored by HIm for we pray that child will be a POWERFUL force for the Lord because you obeyed and sacrificed. And may you be comforted in knowing that whatever outcome your brother is shown, you both will rejoice in eternity – this pain will not last forever for either of you.

    We all here stand around you and lift you both up as true bearers of taking up the cross. Nothing but His perfect love for you both. Your both an awesome example of true faith and what the church will be. We just bow our heads and share your burden in spirit, and in love. Amen

  20. Thanks for the “heads up” Linda. I also pray that a multitude will be led to this blog and posts for answers when needed. Perhaps some of us can even recommend it to others in the times to come.
    May a big harvest come in. There is a time for everything. I’m really glad that the Holy Spirit led me here. It has really fulfilled a great need to dialog on the SERIOUSNESS of the HOUR. Thank God that those here realize it!!!

    Prayers will always be with you, even when we’re not in DIRECT communication.
    Maybe you’ll give us a final “heads up” of the date and time that you are totally closing out……at least totally closing out on the comments postings FOR NOW…… GOD BLESS!

  26. Amen, Deb. I stand in agreement that you fulfill your end-time assignment in His STRENGTH and POWER. Keep declaring those healing Scriptures until any symptoms have NO CHOICE but to bow down and leave because of the NAME that is ABOVE ALL NAMES! (and that includes all names of all “dis-eases.” They are Nothing. God’s WORD is EVERYTHING!

  30. HEAD’S UP . . . Tomorrow is my last post, however, I do believe it’s more of a “sabbatical” than the final, final post. I’m not sure how long it will be, but glad JCSouthwest will be picking up the “virtual home group”.

    Unless I’m shut down, this blog will remain open to the public for review of the posts.
    I likely won’t be participating in many of the conversations, so I can have some “regroup” time to try to get my health and strength back . . . Which requires exercise.
    Also, plans will be to have more focused “God time”. The replies will remain open for several days, then those will be closed as well, since I won’t be “manning” the blog like I have been.

    I wish ALL the best with (((((BIG HUGS)))) and love. We are going through TRANSITION time right now, so please listen to the Holy Spirit and OBEY His leading. There will still be a little bit more time to get some things finalised, but yes, we are heading into “the times of trouble” that the Bible warned us about, but the shelter is JESUS.

    Peggy and me had a small discussion through email about a smell of baking bread someone had. Was it kenzel i think?

    I thought it might have to do with the church being raw dough it needs baking by God to be ready to spread the bread of life=hence my thougjt went to Matthew 24 and persecution of the church.

    What say you is there any basis to that?

  32. May the Lord touch that family for healing of mind, body and soul. May each of them know the true Love and Joy that he provides and we ask that if any of them don’t know the Lord, that they come to him for salvation and daily ask him for forgiveness in Jesus name. Amen.

  33. PRAYER REQUEST RECEIVED (name withheld):

    “My brother Gil almost died on Friday and was resuscitated by paramedics. He has been in the hospital since then. I sure love this stinky brother of mine but he has such serious chronic health problems that he suffers to the uttermost every day of his life.
    He is bi-polar schizophrenic and was a former cocaine addict. He suffers from severe diabetes. He is in remission from cancer but the radiation treatments have destroyed not only his immune system so he is continuously sick from every cold and flu virus that goes around but it destroyed his saliva glands, his voice box is affected and taste buds too. He currently recovering from pneumonia, a recent stroke and he now has the MRSA virus in his system which he picked up from his last hospital stay. He has a wife who has been in prison for 20 years and it is his drug addicted daughter whose baby we brought back from Kansas. He also has a son who is gay.
    I absolutely adore this man. He has the most tender heart and loves the Lord. We always have great conversations about God and the end times. I do struggle with asking the Lord to either take him on home to heaven or totally heal him so he can rise up as a warrior in the end time army. Every one who knows him loves him. On a selfish level I just want to have his company for a while longer. We laugh and joke and give each other a hard time. He has also been the best uncle to all my children. Even in the midst of his troubles he has been so loving and goofy and precious with his nieces and nephews.

    I had good prayer time with him again today and he amazes me with his prophetic insight. I have prayed every prayer over him I have ever known to pray. He has forgiven and released others and asked for forgiveness for everything he can think of and it is only by God’s grace that he will be set free one way or another.

    I am sorry for the length of this but I just ache in my heart for this little brother of mine (well physically he is a large man) who has been robbed of so much and yet rarely complains about anything.”

  43. I think Michael posted something here about the Hebrew Date for Passover this year.
    So, amplifying a little on that:

    Yes, Passover is the 14th Day of the Month of Nissan (Lev. 23:5). This year, that would mean that it begins at sun-down on 4/21 through sun-down 4/22. God said “and evening and morning will be the first day” etc. This is because we are always to be moving from darkness to LIGHT! We are on the Hebrew Calendar year 5,776.

    I believe God never changed from this Hebrew Calendar. Man has tried to change it. Also, notice that the Blood Moon Tetrad occurred on the original Jewish Feast Days, which God declares are really HIS FEASTS (all types and Shadows of Jesus). There is a certain blessing in continuing to honor these.

    I keep track with a really excellent calendar from http://www.elshaddaiministries.us I think they’re also available at christianbook.com and maybe amazon.com It’s called “Official Biblical Blood Moon Eclipse Calendar 2015-2016 (included were September-December 2015). It’s just like having our regular Gregorian Calendar but with the Hebrew Months, days, and special days and Feasts super-imposed. It is really FANTASTIC! There are beautiful pictures of Israel for each of the 12 months.

    In the Millennial Reign of Jesus, I know the Scriptures say that we will be required to attend several of these Biblical Feast Days. I’ve decided to practice NOW. Our church is Christian, but includes Messianic Jews. We honor our Jewish Roots and celebrate all of the Lord’s Feasts. The Lord told our Pastor that if she would look at the Scriptures through Hebraic eyes, they would be opened up to her!

    Some of you probably already know this, but the correlation with the 2nd Coming of Jesus and THE JEWISH WEDDING are really enlightening! When we think of a “wedding,” we think of it in terms of our own culture. But, when you realize the dynamics of a Jewish Wedding, you will be AMAZED at how that correlates with what the Scriptures speak of!!

So very tired and I know the enemy would have me believe that any type of total healing is a joke; so, how could I possible do what He is calling me to. I will continue to believe:

Dear Lord …… we are waiting…. we are all waiting for the sign to GO. Praying in tongues every day now ….. moving from anxious to peace ….. moving into deeper thought and prayer to you…… this is how we are to lean into you…. hard for me to imagine the physical signs unfolding with no thought of saving myself sometimes…. but fighting and gaining ground into your peace and wisdom…. accepting and learning your plan more every day as the enemy keeps trying to take our eyes off of you……. that is the only way. Lord drench us in your grace and mercy… keep giving us small battles to win in you while there is still time. Thank You for this site that shines your light on us and each other… more and more are suddenly realizing their purpose in you. What seemed to take months now takes days when it comes to your moving us in truth and spirit. Burn Psalm 91 into our hearts. When we become weary or afraid Burn Psalm 23 into our hearts. This is what we have to protect us Lord but because its your word we know its all we need. Amen

  73. The Watchmans Wall Word was in my email and yes very sobering and exciting too as you stated Linda. I love the post about cliques, have always been on the outside looking in with the exception of a church in Texas that sounds like Peggys.

    Oh how I miss that fellowship. It’s been over 8 years and have never found anything close. When the pastor prayed, before the services, during the week etc if I was late, which wasn’t but a couple time due to her always being earlier……you could not hardly stand when you got close to the door. Holy Spirit just overwhelmed me. He was in charge of the services and it was a true body seeking Him, transparent, and many Words were given that have come to pass. There was no racial barriers, all were in worship even out of the church. The little tiny town that accused of of being devil worshipers turned into a town of calling for prayer after seeing the Lord change so many lives.

    I thank Him for fellowship virtually, it’s more real than any fellowship I have been to since moving. Some places of worship were awesome for a short time after moving here yet,…….there was always that spirit showing up in leadership. Some in pastors wives, some in error etc. I am NOT saying I am better I am saying, walking in these with the gift of discernment can be overwhelming and very uncomfortable when that spirit of competition, religion and such bounce off every area of worship and ministry time. Several are in Kingdom Now theology and awaiting the latter rain before persecution etc. An area I am sure I need to grow in, yet I feel Abba just moved me out to learn from Him, learn how to stand in difficult areas and I’ll be growing till outta here.

    Soon and very soon, we are going to see the King…………..:)

  91. All I can say, Kenzel, is I have the continued looming sense of planned event(s) that will bring GREAT grief to multitudes. I have this heavy feeling, but also the sense we will be given a “window of opportunity” to minister as the Holy Spirit directs.

    It’s like then the massive darkness is released. . . So too will be the POWER of the Holy Spirit like we haven’t seen in our lifetime. The LIGHT of the LOVE of Jesus will come forth in the darkest hour, for many souls will be seeking answers when that darkness is unleashed.

  124. My heart breaks for what you are feeling Karen. Your feelings of rejection are coming from the enemy and although it may be true that those around you have not included you…you are not rejected by God! Thank You Jesus!!!

    The Lord does not want you merely walking through, observing but seldom participating. He also doesn’t want you to be okay with feeling alone.

    You Karen are a child of God, a precious child of God with no less importance then another. God loves you beyond what words could ever express. I too, as a young child and up until 2 years ago had the very same feelings of being alone. The enemy worked overtime trying to claim me as his. It was a tug-a-war for most of my life. However, through the love our Lord has for us I was finally pulled back and have been blessed beyond words with peace and love. I no longer care that I’m out of any group or family gathering…I have Jesus!!! The BEST possible friend in the whole world…Amen

    Submit to Him, get on your knees and pray like never before Karen, cry out to Him, ask Him to give you peace, read the word of God. Pray for protection around you and your household, pray it in Jesus Name, plead the blood over yourself and your household, tell the enemy to take a hike…shout it, tell him to GET OUT!!!

    And then Praise, Praise, Praise Jesus. Thank Jesus for His love and mercy! He will not forsake you!

    In many fashions i have been in the same state of being.
    At some point i channeled my passions and energies inwards until im almost like a clam.
    But you know the tightest shut clams can have the biggest pearls inside!
    And when the master fisher of men and women caught you he opened up the brightest pearl to shine for people.

    You shine with strenght your name means pure from Katherine, so keep your strenght pure and as once i was totally introverted Christ has opened me up bit by bit and now im a father of three beautiful babies.

    So let your strenght that you grown inside you out little by little and you will see Karen Christ will make you shine as pure as your name means.

    Just have faith in him and explore your talents to full what you have.
    You will be amazed what you have locked there, im just starting and im 40 years old.

  133. I’ve never felt like I belonged, and I’m beginning to understand that was His intention. I believe he knew the domino effect of events I went thru would cause me to have to lean into him more. That hindsight would help me SEE trust wasn’t just an option, but a requirement.

For those are very likely lost souls that have NOT embraced a full walk with Jesus, even though there may be a “form of godliness”. . They truly may not KNOW Him. What a sad state to be in, for that is exactly what the Pharisees of the LORD’s day were like: their own “clique” of self-righteousness, but truly LOST.

  149. It’s really important to me, Michael, that there is a “safe” and peaceful virtual environment here. Initially I allowed the more snarky types of comments come through, but I found myself drawn into a “going nowhere” debate, that was unpeaceful and not honouring to the Kingdom of Heaven. As the posts progressed, fewer “snarks” would send the snark missles into comments (well, except when any of my posts were posted by Steve Quayle on his website, but he reaches such a huge audience, that the snarks will hang out there, waiting for their attacks).

    It’s then I ramped up the disclaimer that the snarky comments will be “POOF” to the trash and kept that up since then. Thank GOD I have seen none of that in quite a while. Those prayers truly do help.

    Now, about the creaking popping sounds, here’s some sisterly advice (and I have to do this too, or I walk like TIm Conway when he played that old man, on the Carol Burnett show . . .”back in the day” and yes, my “boomer status” is showing. LOL), anyway, please consider trying the combo of:

    MSM, Glucosamine, Chondroitin (you can get a cheap version of it at the store). It will put more pep into your step LOL

  150. You are VERY welcome, Vicki. When we are TRULY serving and following Jesus, we will NOT “fit in” to most places/gatherings. One of the things that would be important for us to remember is seek ways to serve and love others . . . “Outward thinking” rather than seek a place where we can be served. For it’s in the serving of others that the love of the Heavely Father can flow into us and through us . .. As we are doing so .. . We experience that love from Him and for others as well. That is “Agape love” . . . Loving others without expecting anything in return. For as the Bible says, “it’s better to give than to receive”, but here’s the secret:

    In the “giving” that is where we too are BLESSED. We truly do reap what we sow, for as we serve and love others . . So it comes back our way in the process and we won’t need to seek it out.

  151. Love, Love, Love this reminder Linda!

    I too have been an outsider of “CLIQUES”, always, all my life. This was everywhere, in School, in Church, and in my own family. Yes my family operates on a “clique” mentality! The church and family is what moved me away from God for many years only to become a loner with-in my own family circle…my husband and children. Unfortunately that brought on a whole new set of (lifelong) problems.

    Most recently, I attended a small worship group who are very deep in the word…so deep they seem blind to how closed off they are from anyone outside. They do wonderful things like travel to depressed areas to pray over those on the street but won’t offer help to their neighbor. As I’m growing in His word and through my paintings I have had many questions about what I’m experiencing. This group and the leader appear to be advanced in their knowledge so what better place to be and to ask for help and prayer. The leader of this group in a public manner expressed (about my questions) she doesn’t help others unless led by the Holy Spirit. I was hurt deeply by her message to me. I feel this is counter to what the Lord wants from us and have decided this is not where the Lords would like me to worship. I’ve never been welcomed when I have attended anyway. So I take that as a sign from the Lord. It was shortly after that experience that your blog appeared from somewhere…HA! The Holy Spirit led me to this place of knowledge, place of love, place of peace where I can learn and understand more about the newness of the Holy Spirit in my life. It’s also a place of confirmation of what I see and feel going on in the world. I no longer feel like an outsider and I no longer think my feelings are crazy!

    My husband and I are currently looking and attending worship services looking for where the Lord wants us to be. I do like the closeness of worshiping in a group.
    Truly the church is failing to provide the fundamentals needed especially for those who are new to the word of God and the Spirit led direction.
    I feel any that Christian group or Christian person who turns away a fellow Christian or any person who is asking for leadership in Gods word will be called out for that behavior. The depth of the hurt that’s caused or the responsibility they will have for turning people away from God will be an enormous price to pay.

  152. Linda, Peggy, JC – yes – thinking about it ( not the chocolate :)) this site , JC’s and Dave’s are like virtual safe/prayer houses – and thinking about JC’s post, the more we set these up the more people can find them.

    Been on a lot of sites where the brave ones (behind the computers only) just trash everybody with garbage comments – how divisive that turns out to be in 3-4 exchanges – not talking about honest opinion / searching comments but the stuff you guys dump in your garbage. Just a thought that Christ’s people like us all found this home at some point and it was a treasure in how people spoke to one another. As we get older we turn softer with more compassion – because of how we’ve been broken as well.

    And Stig-Ove – I know you may sound like a diesel tractor when you sing – but some mornings I notice I move like one- and sound like one without singing – no oil just metal on metal – never knew I had that many cartilage pops in me. That’s where Christine’s candy will restore the moment !! 🙂

  154. I have always been one of those outcasts of the world. As a young child right through to today. I have been rejected and unwanted my whole life. I have very few friends and it has gotten worse since my salvation…even within my own family. Not just because of my salvation. Some of my family rejects me just because. It has always made me feel on the outside looking in. I realize I do not belong to this world….I merely walked through it observing but seldom participating. I am okay with it now because it is the way it is and I know the Lord accepts me and loves me all the more.

    You would love my “church.” Sometimes the Weight of Glory falls during Worship. The Pastor receives words from the Lord. Healings occur. I’ve never found or heard/seen ANYTHING like it!!
    Her Lesson/messages are generally an hour in length, but I have truly always sat on the edge of my seat for each one. My mind never wanders, not even for 1 second! Then, I get recordings, and listen throughout the week, or even 1 year later.

    Each time, I get MORE out of them, I believe because they are so anointed AND FULL of the WORD, and THE WORD is LIVING and ACTIVE. She has a unique approach where her lessons are not on one Scripture, but she’ll take you all over the Bible for supporting Scriptures in a truly inspired way.

    I believe she sits with the Lord (also doing her study) for SIX HOURS per Lesson. I say Lesson instead of Sermon, because they are indeed LESSONS. She does two different lessons per week, so that’s 12 hours per week in preparation.

    Prayer Warriors are there ahead of time, going over every seat before every “Service.”

    One more thing. There are a decent number that travel there from different states and/or miles within the state. They say that “they have never found anything like this” and that the miles traveled are WORTH IT!

    I always admired traditional american boldness of free speech because in IT you could sense liberty!
    But that has changed because the spirit of the Lord does not encompass american Society like IT used to. And thats why your and mine Society will fall unless we repent. No buts but do IT!

When the Pastor got the group to MEMORIZE PSALM 91 (at the conclusion of her “Psalm 91- Perfect Protection” Lesson series, “Sachico” stood and recited it in her native language!

  166. Amen & Amen! No More Cliques. When we set ourselves into private groups, we can cause others to miss out. When we become more transparent, it can help ease a new person in. The ultimate goal is more souls for the Lord — not more people in an elite group! Many people are looking for help from outsiders, so let’s give everyone the opportunity. The Lord didn’t bring us closer to him because of how we talked, what clothes we wear, where we live, how good we were with written or spoken communications — he just loves us for who we are.

    There are often people out there looking at our blogs and responses, to see how we interact with each other. They may be “on the fence” about becoming a Christian. Let’s not put up any barriers for the Kingdom.

    I loved the butterfly picture.
    I just read that same passage in James today and thought about it.
    In the Kingdom of Heaven- no cliques- All are “Odd for God”!

    One thing that is nice at our church— we have Whites, Blacks, Hispanics, Messianic Jews,
    Believers at various stages of development. We had a visiting believer from Afghanistan for a few weeks. The church has no membership, so the backgrounds are diverse. Socio-economic levels are diverse. Age-groups are diverse. Many times, we even have a small bus of mentally challenged adults that attend. They are very precious individuals and seem to respond QUICKLY in love. I will admit that once in a while, in outer appearance someone that looked to be homeless was there. I have always tried to treat that person as I would any of the more nicely dressed people there.

    The Pastor has done many teachings on Agape Love. Her training was EVIDENT!! All guests to the church comment on this, also, as well as the powerful WORSHIP— always lasts about 45 minutes. When I first walked in to this church, I was impressed with the agape love and also anointing that was so evident. Many feel the PEACE, and smell the fragrance of the Holy Spirit there.

    I view all of this as “practice” for the Kingdom of Heaven. I know I should stretch even these boundaries of “no partiality” FURTHER, though!

Because we are in the days the Bible refers to in Acts Chapter 2:17-18: "And it will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out My Spirit on all humanity; then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your old men wil dream dreams. I will even pour out My Spirit on My male and female slaves in those days, and they will prophecy."
