PART 8 ~ THE MEMOIRS OF A BRIDE: A Prophetic Picture of The Bride of Christ Getting Ready

PART 8 ~ September 2013 – A Visit to the Tabernacle and New Year’s Eve 2013 – First Visit to Covenant Messiah Church

“Let them construct a sanctuary for Me, that I may dwell among them.”
(Exodus 25:8)

Back in the summer of 2012, one Sunday morning found me playing the piano (yes a real piano) for an Outdoor Ecumenical Service by a lovely lake. They had a guest lay speaker named Al that Sunday. His entire 20 minute message was not a traditional ear-tickling message, but was entirely bold, full of “meat” and totally inspiring.

He even had an audio/visual aid at the end of the message. It was a ticking clock and he allowed the alarm to ring loudly at the end, symbolizing that our time to wake up as Christians was rapidly running out. Al’s wife, Sherry, was there too. Sherry is an ordained minister.

Afterwards, I spoke with Sherry and found that Al had based most of his message on a portion of the extraordinary book The Harbinger by Jonathan Cahn. Sherry pointed out that a key Scripture in the book was:

    2 Chronicles 7:1~

“If my people, which are called by my name,
shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face,
and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin,
and will heal their land.”

I perceived that as hopeful, and I was determined to continue to do my part in these End Times.

At that time, I hadn’t heard of the book (The Harbinger), but you can be assured that I ordered it immediately upon arriving home. That message by Al and the information in the book became a source of excellent knowledge and insight into America’s possible future and place in these End Times, which I knew were fast approaching. I asked Al and Sherry for their e-mail address and also gave them mine.

From that point on, we have continued to this day to share pertinent End-Time news. The e-mail correspondences have continued to mutually encourage boldness in sharing the Gospel message.
Now, going forward to September of 2013, I received an e-mail from a neighbor, Barbara. It was an invitation to a “Tabernacle Experience.” This was to take place for several days in a beautiful campground setting about 45 minutes from my home.

It was a re-enactment and interactive experience of the Tabernacle of Moses. It was offered free of charge. I was interested especially because of reading through all of the details word for word in my Old Testament each time I did “The Bible Challenge.” I knew Al and Sherry would be especially interested, so I immediately forwarded the e-mail invitation to them. Well, it happened that strangely, I ended up brushing the invitation aside, but it was Al and Sherry that e-mailed me about a week later saying that they had attended the “Tabernacle Experience” and recommended it with raving reviews. That did it. I had to go.

See, what I think really happened is that the minions of satan had tried to prevent me from going, but God encouraged Al and Sherry to send a “reminder” and positive e-mail! (Don’t you just love all the “but God’s” in Scripture. Those two words change everything!)

It was everything they said and more. It was so profound of an experience, that I went a second time, this time taking my mother and her friend. While I was there, I gave my e-mail on a clipboard list. That was optional, but in retrospect, I was so very glad I did. Honestly, there was something drawing me to that e-mail list!

About 2 and 1/2 months later, I received a very well-done, attractive, and concise e-mail invitation from the ministry that sponsored The Tabernacle Experience. This time it was an invitation to a Service on New Year’s Eve, 2013. I was delighted to find out that the location was also extremely convenient.  It was only about a mile from my home by a very direct route.

New Years Eve 2013

I made the decision to attend that New Year’s Eve. Once again, I encountered some opposition, even by a fairly close friend that questioned why in the world I would want to go. This time I was smarter as to the source of the opposition really going on. It appeared to me that satan’s minions were using the close friend to try to stop me from going. Praise the Lord, this time, the “tactics” just didn’t work!

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers,
against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness,
against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
(Ephesians 6:12)

Nothing could stop my resolve to attend this Service, and I was totally delighted by the experience. There was a long period of praise and worship, and then a wonderful message by the Pastor who was “Pastor Debbie.” She explained their “Mission for 2014” and I was delighted to find that it included keeping the congregation committed to reading the Bible every day for one year. There was also talk of doing some corporate fasting, which I thought was a wonderful idea. There were many other great things explained. I loved the experience and was determined to go back. Well, I did so and also rarely missed a Service. I felt that this is what I had been looking for these many years. I was sure that the Holy Spirit through daily immersion in the Word had led me there.

Book of Revelation

Even more wonderful than that, my prayer to understand the Book of Revelation better was answered immediately. Pastor Debbie had just completed 2 years of a projected 3 year verse by verse study of the Book of Revelation as the focus of her Tuesday Morning and Evening Classes. A very interesting thing about this Bible Study was that Pastor Debbie showed us a Divine outline in the Book of Revelation and had a favorite saying, “Revelation is NOT a hard book to understand”!

I found Pastor Debbie to have a God-anointing on her such as I have never experienced in my entire life. Her messages on Revelation, as well as her Shabbat (Sabbath) Messages always lasted about 1 hour, but I found my attention never wandered for a moment! All of the messages were recorded on CD so that one could review the messages during the week.

World people

This church amazingly had no membership, but was comprised of true seekers of Jesus from a variety of denominations, including retired Ministers. In addition, Pastor Debbie had a mandate from the Lord to learn and study the Bible through Hebraic eyes, promising that as she did so, the Scriptures would be opened to her. Therefore, there were also Messianic Jews that attended this church. This is a Christian Church that truly honors its Hebraic Roots, and it is wonderful! I found that they also celebrated all of the Feasts of the Lord, which are all types and shadows of Jesus’ first and second comings. It was a great thing to be really honoring and a part of God’s Hebraic calendar!

There was another thing that impressed me about this group of Believers. I noticed that they were of various racial backgrounds and a fairly wide variety of socio-economic backgrounds. I also noticed that the group was very warm and loving to all. Just about every other church that I had ever attended seemed to be comprised of similar socio-economic groups. This was refreshingly different, and precisely what I was ready to experience! I really believe that Pastor Debbie had carefully schooled them in the tenets of Agape Love and it was wonderful to experience this!

“Then Peter began to speak: ‘Now I understand that God shows no partiality.’ ” (Acts 10:34)

Love one another

I really believe that Pastor Debbie had carefully schooled them in the tenets of Agape Love and all visitors readily commented on the warmth, love, peace, and presence of the Holy Spirit in the meetings.

So, in conclusion, I felt another true leading of the Holy Spirit in arranging for me to attend this very anointed fellowship. I was so very grateful. It was like finding a spiritual gold mine of treasures!

Side note

Side Note about the “Tabernacle Experience” sponsored by Pastor Debbie’s church: later I found that bringing the Tabernacle to the area was a mandate from the Lord to Pastor Debbie. Part of the mandate was to offer entrance to the “Tabernacle” free of charge. That relatively small fellowship of believers extended themselves financially and with God’s help, that was so! All kinds of signs and miracles occurred in association with the planning and the actual experience. A glory cloud fell on the team as they were discussing plans over lunch in someone’s home. All aspects of the planning were blanketed by God’s favor. Then in the actual experience, there were miracles of various kinds that happened, particularly in the “Holy of Holies” section of the Tabernacle where the Ark of the Covenant was placed. I wasn’t a bit surprised. I found that Pastor Debbie loved the Word of God like no one else I had ever met previously, except Faye Aldridge.

I learned from a fellow congregant that Pastor Debbie spent about 28 hours per week seeking the Lord and preparing her 2 anointed messages per week. So, in my mind, there was definitely a real connection between love of the Word and daily time spent there and tremendous supernatural favor from God, including the very real potential of signs and wonders manifesting for God’s glory.

“And the temple of God was opened in heaven,
and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament:
and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings,
and an earthquake, and great hail.”
(Revelation 11:19)

  1. Greetings Everybody,
I want to personally thank Michael, who has graciously agreed to be a “co-host” during Peggy’s testimony posts. This will give both Peggy and myself time to write/review/post, as well as continue to have this open forum interaction. It’s anticipated the full testimony will be finished no later than by the end of the month. I am also construction a “page” that will have all of the posts in one spot (minus some of the illustrations), so it can easily be shared/read by all who wish to do that.

Thanks again everybody . . .here’s a fresh box of chocolate . . Please take a piece and pass it around . . . A fresh pot of coffee is brewing and will be done in just a bit 🙂

  2. Well im a fan of swedish coffee brands so take that into consideration 🕵 Michael is rapidly turning into the Ford f 750 workhorse of b2 brigade.

And a thought on My own behalf, raising kids is like being 168 Hours a week with the Lord! Why you ask? One is raising New temples of the Lord every second of the day with the prayer and hope they will become one.

Be on Guard for New Tom Horn&Chris Putnam book coming in may looks like a real dozey. Is that what you americans call something huge?

  4. Stig-Ove – you don’t realize it but if there were a building standing, you are the support beam between ceiling and the roof. – now that may seem insignificant but without it the building falls 🙂 We know Christ Himself to be the cornerstone, and God Almighty’s words to be the plumbline that sets it perfectly in place. Awesome thought on raising the kids – that was so well said.

Now the temp co host needs a snack after seeing that box of chocolate

  5. Welcome Linda !! I had read that as well, and was all ready last September for the falling of The Shemitah – had my prayers done and hands over my ears and eyes closed on Sept 15th 🙂 Now the book was spot on and I know Jonathon Cahn is an awesome Messianic Jewish Rabbi – the thing that someone else raised recently is that according to which calendar is used, Passover ( and possibly the Shemitah begins this April – whew. God is good He will warn us as always. Blessings to you.

  6. Wow! and wow! part 8, that last picture following the scripture in Rev about the temple of God, shew!

On a side note, I had begun reading the book ‘Come Out of Her My People’ by C.J. Koster and threw it down after chapter one because although I agreed about Sun(worship)day not being right and that yes Jesus’ name is really Yahushua I set it aside because I thought well what am I supposed to do now?!, stop using the name Jesus and then the author said the messianic version Yahshua was incorrect because it left out the middle vowel- I stopped reading, threw up my hands, and knew that I have to work on Saturdays! (for now) Anyhoo, I picked up the book to look up how to spell Jesus’ name correctly when I changed out Jesus to Yahushua when I sent the ‘Once to Every Man and Nation’ to my jewish friend. I guess I will get back to that book, gulp.
I heard a recording of Jonathan Cahn’s address to the UN and his speech at the prayer breakfast on Jim Bakker Show and he really tells it like it is, bold big time.
Gosh, to be able to go to a gathering/church that obeys the Sabbath Day command, a Friday night or Saturday service, follow the Hebraic calendar and festivals, and participate in a ‘Tabernacle Experience’ if anyone is sending out invitations to that in the future pretty please consider me: just sayin’

Lastly, Stig-Ove, what you said about raising little temples of the Lord was quite beautiful and profound.

I love you all B2 family.

  7. Lenea, great post, welcome here !!!! I was thinking after your spelling summary of Jesus,……. that its a good thing when we call Him out of our heart, He turns off His “spellcheck feature” lol – I can tell you what I have to do right now is I listen to a Sunday sermon online at This church is in Lancaster California, and hosts the yearly prophetic conferences ( Neville Johnson, Sadju Selvaraj ( hope I spelled those right ) This church is anointed to be a house of prayer / refuge in last days but Pastor Joe sweet is awesome – that is a spirit filled church that heals, and they let the spirit MOVE wherever he wants during service. I can not find anything close in physical churches here in Arizona. But, this weekend Bill Weise is speaking about his 23 min journey to hell – should be amazing but go on the site anytime and get familiar just as a backup for needed truth if your not getting that right now – blessings to you

  8. Peggy, I know for you the word “typing” is an understatement right now, may the sprit bring you endless energy 🙂 Linda Clay has all the chocolate….. sorry 🙂

  10. I’ve heard parts of this story before Peggy but I loved hearing it again! Thank you for taking the time to share and encourage us! You are such a blessing! (Yes, I do love the WORD!!) Thank you for all you do dear friend!!

  11. Peggy your experience with finding Pastor Debbie is sweet. I found a little one room church in the country, one the Holy Spirit led me to also. Your Pastor Debbie is much like my Pastor Ruthie. This one room church is like stepping back in time, original everything, a spiritual gold mine for sure. Most important though, when I first walked through those doors I stepped right into the presence of Lord. It’s when I first met the Holy Spirit, the welcome I received was felt immediately.

Thank you for sharing your life…Thank you Linda for hosting this amazing story.

Stig-I’ve, beautiful words! You are your children’s teacher…blessing brother.

Box of chocolate’s…I’ll have the 1st piece from the left, third row. Yummy!
