1-25-16 – “TALKING TO JESUS”

John 10:27-29 –

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them,
and they follow Me;
and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish;
and no one will snatch them out of My hand.
My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all;
and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.
I and the Father are one.”

“TALKING TO JESUS” . . . That is basically what prayer is, my friends.

It’s not some stodgy, stuffy Elizabethan speak, that one would use in a Shakespeare play, with “Thou” . . “Thee” . . “Thine” . . . “Thus” . . .  THAT is a good example of being a modern day Pharisee (The “spiritually constipated”).

WHO SPEAKS TO ANYBODY LIKE THAT IN “REAL LIFE” ANYWAY? I mean really?!!?

Can you imagine being engaged, ladies (or men) and hearing this:

“Oh my beloved, most adored, virtuous one, thou doth bestow wonderous gifts of joy to my life, with thine presence. . . . Thou art mine, oh desired of mine heart”.

Uhhhhh. . . . Let me say the truth here: GAG!!!

COME ON NOW. . . Speaking in Elizabethan words does NOT make you “holy” OR get you any closer to God . . .

I think we must bore the Heavenly Father with our little religious rituals and sayings, sounding like the teacher in the Charlie Brown cartoons, “wah, wah, wah, wah.”

It’s also NOT reciting a monotone version of “The LORD’s Prayer”, sounding like some Buddhist monk mantra, where there is no love or thought given. . . Just the monotone sounding repetition of “religion” .  . . A religious ritual that helps the Pharisees feel better . . . No relationship with Jesus, just ritual.  There is depth to the LORD’s prayer, but when it is just a religious activity?  It’s just speaking words.

The LORD WANTS A RELATIONSHIP . . . NOT RELIGION!!!! He created us to love us and for us to love Him back.

TELL HIM ABOUT YOUR DAY. Talk to Him about what’s on your mind. Tell Him if something bothers you, or makes you fearful, or makes you bust out laughing loudly, or brings you such grief, you have no more tears left. Tell Him about your hopes and dreams.  TALK TO JESUS.. . HE WANTS TO HEAR FROM YOU!!!

Let Him speak to your heart, which may be through the Scriptures, or the “still small voice” of the Holy Spirit, or through dreams, visions and revelations. It can be something simple like this: while going about your day, you might see sunlight streaming through the window, which could be a reminder to you from the LORD JESUS: “I LOVE YOU”

It’s TRULY an amazing, intimate walk with JESUS . . . But YOU choose how close you want to get. The more you let Him in. . . The greater the intimacy.

Whatever area you close off to the LORD Jesus . . . .
THAT is the area you allow Satan to continue attacking you.

It’s an “open door invitation” for the demons to have their sulfur hell parties in YOUR life and at YOUR expense.

BECAUSE whatever is not dedicated to and for the Kingdom of Heaven, is for the kingdom of darkness and that includes ANY area that is not given to Jesus in your life.

 

 

 

INVITE JESUS INTO EVERY AREA OF YOUR LIFE AND BOOT OUT SIN AND ALL OF THE DEMONIC FORCES THAT IMPACT YOUR LIFE . . We serve a HOLY God, who can NOT allow ANY sin into the Kingdom of Heaven.

DAILY we must ask the Holy Spirit to search our heart to see if there is anything UNHOLY in His sight.  WE must repent.  We must forgive ALL.  We must maintain a CLEAN walk with our HOLY LORD GOD.

  3. Wow, Kenzel, can’t wait to hear about that bus ride! In the King’s timing, I know. I remember a very wise man saying faith is not looking up at the tree and knowing God made it; faith is getting out on one of the limbs during a hurricane and knowing God is UNDER it!

  4. Thank you for the encouragement, Peggy. Some days are easier than others. Today is a good one. Sometimes holding onto His hand feels so easy and natural, and other times it’s almost as if my hand is coated in Vaseline and I go slip-slip-slidin’ away!!!!! Keep on keeping on, I know!

  7. I believe you reported you have been prompted to write you memoirs. You already have a blog, so you can release it on your blog as the Holy Spirit prompts you. It may be a chapter per post, with The same “category” listed as “memoir”. . . The Holy Spirit will lead you, but start . . . It will FLOW WITH THE SPIRIT, but you have to take that first step.

    If you don’t . . The LORD will choose somebody else and you will lose the reward stored up for you. What good is prophecy you are to release, if you hide it, like the servant who hid the talent, in Matthew 25 (and we know how well that worked out . . It didn’t). DON’T DELAY . . JUST DO IT!!!

    Here’s a commercial for you. . . If “secular” people can go beyond their abilities and push themselves. . Then how much more should we, who claim to serve the LORD Jesus?

    The 1st time I ran across it (which was within the last 7 yrs)
    When I heard that scripture, I thought back to that day on the bus. It was the bus driver who asked me the question. It was an odd question, too.
    Oddly enough that might not be the most prophetic words from the HS.
    The most prophetic I’ve not written about yet.
    I’ve spent 20+ yrs trying to come to grips with what He spoke (aloud) on my behalf.

My prayer for years has been to be a “woman of Issachar” (1 Chronicles 12:32) understanding the signs of the times, as well as a Berean (Acts 17:11), one who searches the scriptures to see if what I’m learning is truth. I LOVE prophecy! Didn’t know that about eagles (what Linda says–that they’re prophetic), but I put Isaiah 40:31 on my first husband’s tombstone: “BUT THEY THAT WAIT UPON THE LORD SHALL RENEW THEIR STRENGTH; THEY SHALL MOUNT UP WITH WINGS AS EAGLES; THEY SHALL RUN, AND NOT BE WEARY; AND THEY SHALL WALK, AND NOT FAINT.”

  19. Oh my Kenzel! Incredible, beautiful, honest. . .that’s who you are, my sister! This song (Tell Your Heart to Beat Again) confirmed something I heard from my King just last night. I just finished the 5th book in a series on God’s Kings by Lynn Austin. I went to bed at 10 but couldn’t sleep, so I got up again and finished the book and cried out to my King to heal my heart. So much pain, so much hurt, Kenzel. . .but I want to rise with the wings of eagles and fly above it. I want to forgive the unforgivable, love the unlovable. He is doing it! Only Yeshua has the power to change the human heart. He even plants the DESIRE to have our hearts changed. I am overwhelmed. . .overcome.

    Kenzel, I ALWAYS have these doubts and do this battle when the Lord gives me something He wants me to share! I recognize it now as coming from my enemy. Step out! He’s got you! I also believe we had better get used to odd!

    In 2011 I had an experience that STILL gives me the willies when I think about it! I was in prayer early in the morning when I realized that the floor beneath my feet was vibrating. Having lived in California for 6 years I thought, “Earthquake!” But it stopped, so I went back to my reading/praying. Then it happened again. And again.

    The episodes seemed to be evenly spaced. AND THEN I HEARD THIS SOUND THAT I CAN ONLY DESCRIBE AS A HUGE RUSTY METAL GATE SWINGING OPEN! I ran to the front door, expecting to see a Dominion Power truck extending a crane or something, but there was nothing there.

    The sound repeated three or four times and was loud and discordant enough that I had to cover my ears. The sky was clear. The weather was beautiful (Fall). There were no planes/helicopters overhead. Then it stopped.

    My readings that morning were all about God’s voice: “The great day of the Lord is near, it is near! And hasteth greatly, even the voice of the Day of the Lord,” Zephaniah 1:14.

    That was one of those “odd” things that stay with us forever. I’ve never found anyone else that heard it, in or around my neighborhood. God was revealing to me, and I do think Zephaniah was my answer. Weird, huh? Strange, though, I had no fear.

    I’ve had many other strange things happen to me, but this one stands out. Allow your brothers and sisters in Christ to surround you in prayer, Kenzel.

    LORD JESUS, GIVE OUR SISTER A GREAT PEACE AND CALM ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE ENCOURAGING HER TO SHARE! REMOVE ALL DOUBT AND GIVE HER A CONFIDENCE THAT CAN ONLY COME FROM YOU. PROTECT HER FROM THE WILES OF THE EVIL ONE. SURROUND HER WITH YOUR MIGHTY WARRIOR ANGELS. CLEAR HER HEAD AND HER HEART AND HER EARS TO HEAR YOU AND ONLY YOU. BLESS THOSE OF US WHO RECEIVE WHAT YOU’VE GIVEN TO HER WITH OPEN HEARTS, SO WE MAY DISCERN YOUR PRECIOUS VOICE. AMEN AND AMEN!

  30. Kenzel . . . They may be unique, but when you write that up and release it . . .I believe you will find others have had similar experiences as well. It will help bring a greater measure of “oh, I’m not the only one” to not only you but to others. SO, the prompting to write up your memoir is not just about you . . But about adding to the gathering of “like-minded” believers who may feel so “odd” that they don’t feel they belong to the Body of Christ.

    In the early hours of January 26th I was awakened with a jerk to a very loud sound in my right ear. The sound of what I thought was a smoke alarm when it has been activated. As I lay listening to the sound, I heard the word, “warning.”

    After prayer and research, I realized it was not a smoke alarm but the sound of a shofar I had heard. It’s long straight prolonged unbroken blast, which is what I heard, is called Tekiah Gedolah. Tekiah Gedolah is a final invitation to sincere repentance and atonement symbolizing both an alarm and a wake-up call.

    “Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet and show My people their transgressions and their sins.” Isaiah 58:1

    In my spirit I heard ***
    “Your sins may be hidden from men, but they are not hidden from Me. As you cling to your sins, forces of evil continue to strategize ways and means to further entrap and enslave you. Do not be bound by the world. Come follow Me while The Light yet shines for night comes quickly and you will be overtaken by the darkness.”

    “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” John 8:12

    “I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in Me should stay in darkness.” John 12:14

    “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.” Isaiah 60:1

    I am STILL hearing this shofar/air raid siren sound every day now. . And sometimes it lasts for hours. I do believe this is a WARNING. . . . As in “incoming judgement”.

    Many moons ago I prayed for insight. For decades I have heard a high pitched sound (as in a deafening ring) usually in my right ear (occasionally my left).

    The first time I took note of this was in 1983. At the 3 o’clock hour…I heard a loud, almost painful screeching ring. Think of what you have heard when a band is doing a pre-concert sound check.
    Sometimes it is loud enough I have to support my ear with my hand. It was that intense, especially the 1st time

    Ever since, I have always wondered why? I have continued to hear sounds like this. A while back I began to consider the likelihood of them having a spiritual connection (I recall asking you about this Linda).
    So, I took it to God.

    Yesterday, when I randomly opened the Bible it was to Jeremiah, ch 19 – Jeremiah’s shattered jar. I didn’t think much of it til I arrived at 19:3
    I read it twice and then He told me to also write down the verse.

  42. Stig-ov, saw this and was a little concerned at 1st, As I took it to the Lord in prayer, this is what I got…

    Galatians 6:7-9 King James Version (KJV)

    7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

    8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

    9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

    The city, Missoula, that is mentioned in this article, is one of the most liberal cities in Montana. They have some great churches and good Christian people but for the most part this city is known for their democratic extreme liberal views.

    The other location mentioned is the Flathead Valley. It is where so many of the wealthy and movie stars build homes. It also has a very strong group of Christians and the YWAM base.

    There may be a judgement coming upon this state and maybe these 2 areas in particular, but, I also feel very confident in the warriors in these areas and know they will be obedient to whatever the Holy Spirit shows them to do.

    This state was founded during the gold rush under much greed, corruption, lust and more. In February 2014 the Montana Catholic Diocese filed for bankruptcy just ahead of the$15 million settlement for the 362 cases of clergy sexual abuse. Montana has proven to be a great hiding place for criminals such as the Unabomber, to name only 1.

    I am a native of Montana, I love this state and am grateful the Lord has allowed me to live here so far. I pray for all the Christians in this state and that many will repent and come to the Lord, but also accept that Montana will reap what it has sown.

  44. The system of governance we are under is based in model on Platos republic which calls for regions or cities which are independent and selfgoverning like the Usa.

    These societies according to Plato was to be governed by philosopher priests or in modern lingo experts juSt like you see today.
    In one of the early dialogues of Plato before Socrates execution, Socrates admits to have heard a guiding voice all his life what we Christians call guiding spirits.

    These philosopher priests then like the pope and queen might have their guiding spirits too then.

    The model they advocate has such ideas built into it, why not in modern society too?

    King James Bible – For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

    Our hope is the redemption of our physical body and the salvation of our spirit.

    These power figures the pope and queen are in sorrow because they know that their system is about to break up and their conspiracy against the Lord and his anointed is about to unravel.

    Psalms 2 read it and see thats where their anguish comes from. Maybe the entities behind their throne promised peace and prosperity and now they warn the masses to prevail in power.

  51. Didn’t know where to post this Steve Quayle Alert, but it’s got me praying in the Spirit:

    Everyone is hearing the sounds, now amateur astronomers are videotaping it and the main stream media is beginning to slowly mention it – the planet is getting closer. We have all the distractions in place, many which will actually occur. This is playing out exactly just as we have spoken about.

    We had the pope state 2015 would be our last Christmas, we had the Queen state 2015 will be the last Christmas – yet no one believes anything earth shattering happened in December. Why would two of the worlds primary figures say something like this, to instill fear, I think not. Soon, we will see the pope probably retire early in order to get himself home and in place.

    We need to be in place also, because when the chaos begins, where ever you are, that is where you will be stuck. I can actually feel the momentum building, feel anxiety building in the atmosphere around me and the frequency’s I have been hearing for a long time are now beginning to increase in volume.

    The new world system is in place, now all we need are the major events that will help usher things in and the implementation to begin. Start paying close attention to things in the background when prominent world figures are shown speaking at events, addressing current issues and attending events. I believe much of what we are hearing and seeing on the news and other media type sources right now may possibly be pre-recorded.

    I recognize it is not Christian. But not unlike the Hunger Games & Divergent…The Matrix offers crazy insight into the “world” we live in. Call it a “prophetic mirror” in reality, if you will.

  54. It was a SAD day, indeed, Kenzel. The seal of judgment was the Supreme Court ruling about “same sex marriage” . . It is an opinion, that is being treated as law from Congress, which it is not. We ARE seeing “the rise of the beast system” under Obumbum-antichrist.

    And the USA is “Babylon” referred to in Revelation 17 & 18. We know what happens from reading the Bible. . This is why it’s VITAL for all of us to DAILY make sure our spiritual house is clean, because any day could be our day to step into Eternity. . . Ready or not.

As a tangent addition to your comment about not repenting & judgment, Linda, I listened to a podcast with Joanie Stahl regarding the economic collapse (2 part via youtube) & the ONE event she mentioned that God told her would signal the SHIFT was when Oklahoma removed the 10 Commandments Statue from the Capital (completed overnight, under cover of darkness with no media coverage.)
    I remember that day vividly. I didn’t know of His message to Joanie…but I knew the implications were huge.

    My wife told me a story the other night also as she used to be a catholic also. IT was also the same about feeling empty and going through the motions of religion. But the key part was this When we moved together and we talked and prayed together and she really started to read the bible, one day she threw away here old Rosarie and Mary idols and other catholic gear.

    And IT was her impression once she started to really Walk and talk to Jesus as Linda emphasizes here in her post she felt that she got blessed and we were given our first son after 2 years of marriage and now 8 years into our marriage we have been blessed with 2 sons and 1 daughter.

    Life is hard but we manage and thus far the Lord has provided for Us what we need to live and i still have work.

  68. Amen and amen! The more I lean on the Lord, the richer my walk with Him gets! He wants to be involved in EVERY detail of our life! What freedom there is in leaning on Him!! And for those who struggle to hear Him, I love this verse, and I often quote it as a prayer. “He awakens My ear
    To hear as the learned. 5 The Lord God has opened My ear; and I was not rebellious, nor did I turn away” (Isa. 50:4-5).

  70. I love this post! I was raised Catholic and never knew or cared what was being said during mass. Most times that I heard people praying, I was turned off because I just couldn’t relate! A few years ago I went to a woman’s retreat with a friend and it was so refreshing to hear some of the women there pray. When you are genuine and honest, there is no need to impress!

  78. Thank you for this post Linda. Long ago I realized I didn’t need to have “religious speak” but that God knows exactly what we are saying to Him. Regardless of the way we say things, He sees our heart. He did give us each different personalities. Where so many times when talking with other people we are misunderstood and probably everyone on this blog has experienced someone not “getting” us. I love that God understands what we are trying to say and thankfully, He doesn’t respond with the thees and thous to me.

    I believe He has a great sense of humor as well, and probably got a good chuckle out of the grey poupon! You don’t have to walk on eggshells with God. Be real! If something stinks, it stinks! You can be honest without whining, complaining or being irreverent.

    Stig-ove, I can believe some have a more formal way of speaking. I also believe that there are those who… can’t talk them fancy wrds and justa ar bringn it tos the Lrd.

  79. Awesome post Linda thank you. I’ll never forget my first shabbat session where she began speaking to the Lord as though He was sitting on the floor with us. ( He was I just didn’t know it at the time) as she was praying I thought to myself WAIT….. WHAT????? never had heard prayer like that in churches. Did not know what to think. Kept looking at the front door in case I had to make a run for it lol. Just a continuation of completion like the post where you explained to us how to tell the Lord when we’re angry with someone and please take it from me. Now I get it!!! so much more meaningful to talk to Him with my heart and not try to have everything perfect before I come to Him. Sometimes it takes me awhile ….. BUT WHEN I GET IT ….. I GET IT !!!!!! lol

  81. Stig-Ove, the USA is a MESS . .. A demonically-infested MESS. The judgement upon our Nation is just and true and as a Nation, we did NOT repent, but continued forward. The final seal of judgement was the declaration of “same sex marriage”, but that is only one of many evils that has been spawned by evil powerful people within the U.S. Government and “global elite”.

    What the USA once was . .. Is no more. It’s not even the same country I left in 2013. Judgement is surely coming and it’s going to be violent, destructive and deadly. In the midst of that, souls will be saved.

    Judgement is coming upon the entire planet, but the severe judgements are upon the USA. I have been shown so many, that even one would be reason for the Heavenly Father to remove His Hand of Grace, which is what has happened. That then allows all forms of evil to rise up, which reflects the majority of the population.

    May the LORD have MERCY in the midst of the judgement.

    Here i sense as an European the cultural animosity that exist in the Us towards Britain.
    People here ought to take a little breather when it comes to condemning some key aspects of the host culture that bred your nation.

    The british were maybe are arrogant fops in many matters and their language reflects a prideful past.
    But still they are your great great great great…….grandparents and their heritage runs in your veins.

    It would be waste to throw the baby out with the bathwater and instead learn and absorb the greatness your ancestors brought to the world when they wandered with Christ as a culture and people.

    Im swedish and finnish by parentage, finland has been tyrannically ruled by Sweden and Russia through the centuries and yet without Sweden Finland would be a backward country today similar to Russia in Soviet times.
    Russia is a country 90% of finns despise and also say 75% despise Sweden.
    But sweden gave us culture and administrative capability, russia taught us how to use that capability to receive independence.

    Britain was used to foster your admittedly great perhaps even greatest nation through history to use your british christian roots to gain independence.

    Later because America became too free under Christ the servants of the devil sent people of enslaved mentality to your shores to bring you down to religious enslavment.

    The lesson is forget your past and you will fall!

    Israel was taught to teach their history and deeds of the Lord to every generation, they did not do it they fell. Now you have Obama Finland has its weakest government in history, sweden is falling to islam and political correctness and Russia to a savage military Kgb leader with authoritarian disposition.

    Remember your past the bible teaches it but use it and look forward to the foretold magnificient deeds the Lord foretold in scripture.

  83. We are at a disadvantage, Kenzel, since we don’t read the original Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic. Also, it’s a good idea to gain an understanding of the History and the culture of that day. Sadly, MOST in the Western Nations view the Bible from a Western mentality and MISS some of the greater depths that are there when we know the culture, history, traditions.

    I understand the King James does have value. But I’ve never been able to make sense of it. The NLT changed things and now I’m able to cross reference among different versions which many “lay” students are finding helpful, necessary and spirit driven.

    Get a Bible you can read and understand. Ask the Holy Spirit to help direct you on that, because there are some “funky” versions out there.

I also enjoyed reading Shakespeare and sometimes the King James language is nice for the Psalms, but nope, I don’t talk to Jesus with that formal language, nor do I choose to only read the King James Bible (I know, gasp, but true. . . Better for me to read and study. . . Compare many, than only one, so I can “dig in” and grasp the meaning better).

    Here’s The Tyndale Bible, Romans 8:12-16 –

    “Therfore brethren we are nowe detters not to the flesshe to live after the flesshe. For if ye live after the flesshe ye must dye.     Id have to say i love old english like that but i dont speak it.
    I used poetry in victorian english when i charmed my wife to be way back.
    And that one you used was beautiful language.

    If it maketh me a pharisee to admire the pearl of english linguistics then im guilty as charged. But you are of course right in saying talk to Jesus in your own language.

    Thus she smote my heart with the sword of the tongue, now to me beckoneth but misery and sorrow! Like a besom of destruction Linda me swept aside to become naught but an minor proponent of english of Victorian beauty supreme at this blog my heart so loveth.
    Ah woe betide me save Lord so sweet an make my tongue to praise thee in english modern and clear! 🙂

  100. Awesome truthful post Linda. I also enjoyed the humor about the Elizabethan speak. What comes to mind is the churches that have members repeat prayers during services — they sound like they are about to drift off into slumber when they do that! For me personally, I talk to the Lord like he’s my best friend and use my own words. Most try and make this a complicated process, but it truly is not.
